PM: State-damaging stance is a national security issue

Rasıh Reşat'ın Haberi
Prime Minister Ünal Üstel said the state was a shell for all citizens, and any stance that could undermine this shell was a matter of national security.
The Prime Minister said that disinformation, economic manipulation, operations to influence public opinion, and initiatives that undermine trust in institutions could also pose a threat to our national security.
“Those who, consciously or unconsciously, adopt a standpoint against national interests, undermine the state's position, or damage the spirit of national unity should also be considered within this," he said.
He said criticism was part of democracy; crippling fundamental state positions was another matter.
“Those who open to discussion the TRNC’s political stance that is based on sovereign equality, make statements that undermine the position of the state in international platforms, or disrupt public calm, should be more careful," Ünal said.
Prime Minister Üstel stressed that the state was a shell for everyone; any endeavor that targeted this shell is clearly a matter of national security."
